What is Power Alignment Yoga®? Through my love of Power Yoga and Iyengar Yoga, I created, developed, and have held the trademark on Power Alignment Yoga® since 2004. Power Alignment Yoga® is a synergistic blend of Power Yoga and the Iyengar Method of Hatha Yoga; it is a rigorous physical practice that incorporates Alignment Principles, meditation, and breath work to align body, breath, mind and spirit.
Power Alignment Yoga® is moving, flowing vinyasa yoga that reaches every aspect of the being in a non-competitive way. It stimulates, strengthens, stretches, balances and rejuvenates every muscle, organ, joint, vessel, and bone in the body. Power Alignment Yoga® is designed to heat the body internally to build strength and flexibility, increase cardiovascular endurance, encourage weight loss, lengthen and sculpt the physique, and focus and calm the mind. The goal of Power Alignment Yoga® is to allow students to tap into their core strength and realize their full potential on all levels.
The hallmark of a Power Alignment Yoga® class is the constant flow or swift pace of non-stop movements (known as vinyasas or connecting movements) and the conscious use of breath (Pranayama).

HOT ALIGNMENT YOGA®
Hot Alignment Yoga Class consists of a balanced, healthy sequence of Hatha Yoga postures practiced in a heated room. This is an appropriate class for newcomers as well as more experienced yogis; Hot Alignment Yoga has very few (if any) Chatarangas (Reverse Pushups) or Adho Mukha Svasanas (Down Dogs) which makes the practice very attractive to students with shoulder issues. Athletes love Hot Alignment Yoga for the healing benefits of the sequences and the heat.
Hot Alignment Yoga teachers vary the yoga sequences and poses which gives students an opportunity to explore a wide range of asanas. With MyLinda's training in Alignment Yoga, the basic and advanced version of each posture are detailed during class and proper alignment cues are given.
Be prepared to SWEAT!! From head to toe the body will be invigorated and detoxified while sharpening mental focus and renewing the spirit.
